π Khaja : - This is layered sweet which similar to Balushahi but the way it is made makes a whole different sweet to try for Diwali.
π Farali Batata Chivda / Fasting Potato Chevda : This is a very good fasting recipe and festival snack - Potato Chevda loaded with Dryfuits n Nuts.
π Nankhatai : This a very famous snack / cookies which is made not only for Diwali but also otherwise. It just melts in mouth!

ReplyDeleteI have never seen nor heard of any of these recipes. This is a fantastic collection for anyone wanting to try desserts from a different culture!! I wish I could come over and sample each one. Gee! I don't even know where I'd start. They all look so good!!

I am very interested in trying out the Nankhatai recipe, it looks very similar to my favorite Moroccan cookies called Ghriba. I can experiment and see of my family will be able to tell the difference between both cookies.
